Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi & Private Hire Driver
(SCQF Level 5/ RQF Level  2)

In 2019 Glasgow’s Licensing and Regulatory Committee mandated this qualification for all Taxi and Private Hire drivers across the city. Other councils across Scotland are considering a similar mandate for drivers in their city. eQualify partnered with a leading industry expert to develop an online study guide for the qualification and we work with SQA approved Centres across Glasgow to deliver it.

This online learning product allows drivers across the UK to undertake the qualification anytime, anywhere with regional specific units ready for Scotland, England, London (further regions are under development). Comprising 9 units of quality in-depth content, knowledge checks, quizzes and mock exams, this online study guide allows drivers to learn from the comfort of their own home or via free mobile application.  Learning is tracked, checked, and rewarded.  Practice elements allow for growth in confidence before exams. Learning managers at SQA Centres can review progress and drivers can track their own progress at a glance through our visual green light system.
